My Education

As an 18-year-old high school graduate, I didn't know what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. However, I did know that I loved animals and I loved science, so I put the two together and studied Animal Science at Delaware Valley University. My swine science, animal anatomy and physiology, and animal husbandry classes were some of my favorites—but I was simultaneously exploring my true career path I discovered in another department.

I have always loved writing and being creative. I've been a writer since I was a child and always enjoyed my English classes in school. It wasn't until I started taking some elective courses in media and communications where I discovered how I could translate my creativity into a career. I continued to take additional courses such as technical writing, news reporting and writing, media management, and marketing courses to complete my minor in media and communications. I knew I found my professional calling.

After working full-time for one year out of Delaware Valley University, I itched for more. I knew I could take my undergraduate minor further and improve my skills, and the English graduate studies program at West Chester University was a perfect fit. After about two years, I graduated with my master's degree in English with a concentration in writing, teaching, and criticism.

Since then, I have been working hard to combine my skills in writing, marketing, and communications to grow in my career and I am eager to offer my skills where needed and I never stop learning.
